About the role
We are seeking a Software Sales Associate with a bioprocessing background to support the commercialization of our MES platform. This role is ideal for someone who understands how bioprocess labs and manufacturing operations actually function and can translate real-world workflows into compelling, practical use cases for CDMO clients. This is a contract role (3–6 months) with the clear intent to convert to a full-time position based on performance, fit, and business needs. What you'll do
Engage with prospective CDMO clients to understand bioprocess workflows, operational challenges, and data management needs Communicate MES value through use-case-driven discussions (batch execution, tech transfer, scale-up, traceability, compliance readiness) Support sales calls, on-site or virtual demos, and technical discussions with clients Work closely with internal bioprocess, product, and data teams to align customer needs with product capabilities Qualify leads and support early-stage pipeline development Capture customer feedback and translate insights into product and roadmap inputs Develop familiarity with client lab and plant environments to tailor messaging and solutions Qualifications
BS or MS in Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field Hands-on familiarity with bioprocess lab and/or plant operations Strong understanding of bioprocess workflows and execution challenges Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly Work onsite in Champaign, IL Comfortable working in a startup environment with evolving priorities What we offer
Hourly salary of approx. $24/hour with path to conversion to full-time employee with benefits
