Job Title Athletic Trainer - IRP
Department Ambulatory Services | Sports Medicine Administration
Location Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute (1004)
Job Type Intermittent – 0.2 scheduled hours (Rotating Shift)
Responsibilities
Provide outreach athletic training as well as some rehabilitation and medical office support services for clinical areas.
Cover event coverage for high school, recreational or club sports.
Implement components of physical therapy treatment plans under direct supervision of the treating physical therapist.
Supervise supportive clinical personnel (e.g., aides, students), participate in teaching capacities, and assist with administrative procedures.
Work within scope of practice as outlined by the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Athletic Trainers Board of the State of Ohio.
Minimum Education Required Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications
Completion of an approved education program in athletic training and/or related health science field.
State of Ohio Athletic Trainer license and NATA certification required.
Two to three years of experience in an out-patient orthopedic/sports medicine facility preferred.
Previous experience working with athletic populations required.
Additional Information
Shift: Rotating Shift.
Final Candidates Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
