What You’ll Do

Application management and verification activities, including preliminary analysis of application and verification information, and identifying red flag and/or adverse information.

Research and analyze documents using strong documentation skills and high attention to detail.

Maintain timely communication with applicants and member organizations regarding the status of application files and any required documents.

Monitor expiring credentials such as DEA, state professional license(s), professional liability insurance, and specialty board certification status.

Prepare credential files for audit and submission to assigned facilities accurately and on time.

Ensure compliance with standard turn‑around times.

Maintain a working knowledge of relevant regulatory standards (TJC, AAAHC, DNV, NCQA), state and federal requirements and CMS.

Assist with the development and implementation of credentialing and re‑credentialing workflows to ensure efficient alignment of processes, and help revise credentialing related forms.

Participate in special project teams as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Knowledge of credentialing software and associated applications.

Experience with credentialing verification and application audit processes.

Ability to make decisions guided by general instructions and practices, including some interpretation and recommendations for moderate‑complexity problems.

Ability to address varied problems using analysis or interpretation of the situation based on direct observation, knowledge and skills.

Following policies and procedures, setting priorities and organizing work within general guidelines, and seeking assistance when confronting difficult situations.

Effective communication with internal and external customers.

Comprehension and communication skills when dealing with assigned facilities.

Full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures and policies, with the ability to apply them in varied situations.

Collaborative team player who improves work group operations by offering ideas, identifying issues and respecting teammates.

Your Qualifications

Associate Degree preferred; High School diploma or GED required.

3–5 years related work experience required in a CVO or other credentialing setting.

Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) required.

Experience with computer systems, including web‑based applications and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and credentialing databases.

Location: Greater St. Louis, MO area. Applicants must be located within this area.

Compensation: $21–$27 USD per hour (the stated range; actual pay will depend on factors such as experience, skills, education, and market conditions).
