Role Summary Per Diem – Radiologic Technologist. The position requires responsible operation of imaging equipment, sterile field assistance during OR and pain management procedures, and maintaining professional relationships with physicians and staff. NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS, NO CALL.

Myelography
Arthrography must be
Perform pain blocks
Cholangiograms
CXR
Modified specimen mammograms
File and log in OR x-rays
Keep Mini C-Arm logs up to date
Report system of radiology findings to physicians
Strong teamwork skills; utilize downtime to perform other assigned tasks, including room turnovers, restocking warmer, specialty carts, etc.
Determine, prepare, and set up medical supplies, instruments, and equipment; explain X‑ray procedures to patients
Position patients for each anatomical view specified using immobilization and protective devices as required
Report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff
Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physicians with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies
Record the amount and type of film exposed
Label the film with identifying information; sort as required
Consult with lead X‑ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality
Process film in accordance with standardized procedures and maintain assigned work area in clean and orderly condition
Use PACS to send exams for interpretation
