Job Description Summary Provides safe, accurate and efficient patient care, including but not limited to: patient assessment, review of labs and vital signs, medication safety, dose verification, and drug administration. Follows all Job Breakdown Instructions (JBIs) associated with role. Provides triage care when necessary. Communicates patient condition effectively to multidisciplinary team members.
Key Performance Areas Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non‑oncologic agents to patients as ordered by providers. Uses Oncology Nurse’s Society (ONS) standards and guidelines. Accurately and safely disposes of biohazardous waste per OSHA and NIOSH guidelines. Responsible for new and ongoing patient education, continual patient assessment, and support. Documents thoroughly, accurately, and timely in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) of treatment rendered to patients. Ensures appropriate charges are captured by following guidelines for administration of all medications and activities. Follows proper patient identification per JBI for all patient encounters. Teaches patients and caregivers about medications, side‑effects, and planned treatment course. Interacts with patients and families in a caring, professional manner. Telephone triage: prioritizes incoming calls and messages from patients, family members, hospitals, nursing facilities, pharmacies, and physician offices from emergent to non‑urgent, responding accordingly within an appropriate time frame. Supplies: assists with inventory and re‑stocking medical supplies, recommends purchase of new items as needed, places stock in storage areas in a timely manner. Completes annual required safety and nursing trainings. Attends all mandatory staff meetings as necessary. Maintains confidentiality of all patient and employee information. Assists in training new employees related to job duties according to JBIs. Will work at any company location as needed to help meet business needs, within reasonable expectations. Will also work overtime when given sufficient notice. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Complies with all federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to patient privacy, patient rights, personnel law, safety, labor, and employment law. Adheres to company and departmental policies and procedures, including IT policies and Disaster Plan.

Unencumbered RN License in the state of employment or multi‑state license
Current CPR and BLS certifications
Valid Driver’s License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed
Previous Experience
Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting
Ability to assess patient needs and condition – essential. Must have strong critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills is required.

Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Occasional overtime may be required, and weekend shifts based on location hours and operational needs.
