Customer Service Representative – Overview
Location: Cambridge, MD (Calgaz) – Industrial Spec Gas
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide product knowledge and account support to internal and external customers in a courteous and proactive manner.
Responsibilities
Read and understand procedures and instructions on customer service processes.
Answer calls promptly and courteously.
Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Enter customer orders into the current order management system (SAP) on a daily basis.
Demonstrate knowledge of products and technical information.
Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, and customer requirements.
Educate customers about terminology, features, and benefits of products to improve sales and satisfaction.
Manage assigned distributor accounts.
Monitor scheduled ship dates to ensure timely delivery to customers.
Follow all safety protocols.
Run ZOTCM report daily.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in internal and/or external customer service or customer-related administration.
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in personal computer use, data entry, and common office equipment and software.
Experience with SAP and Google platforms preferred.
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced order entry environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Pay: $20–$22 per hour.
