Job Summary and Responsibilities CHI St. Alexis is looking for a Full Time Trauma Injury Prevention Specialist.

Works under the general direction of the Emergency and Trauma Services Director and the supervision of the Trauma Nurse Coordinator in planning and coordinating activities for the Trauma Program and facilitates Injury Prevention activities of the organization. Provides and performs secretarial services associated with the overall operation of the Trauma program in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of CHI St. Alexius Health.

What You'll Do

Promote CHI St. Alexius Health mission, vision, and values to foster a compassionate, healing environment providing physiological, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and visitors.

Coordinate Trauma related injury prevention activities and maintain accurate and ongoing records of program activities for the organization.

Coordinate meeting times, locations, and agendas for all Trauma related activities.

Attend all trauma related meetings and distribute associated meeting minutes, memorandums or other communication in a timely manner.

Assist in planning, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating trauma related education and prevention programs for organizational staff and community members based on documented needs.

Participate in Trauma chart abstraction duties, assist in data collection, data input, and data retrieval in the Trauma registry.

Complete Trauma registry education as directed by the American College of Surgeons for Level 2 trauma centers.

Perform clerical duties for ATLS and TNCC educational programs.

Maintain and assist in updating all Trauma department policies and procedures.

Effectively collaborate with other departments and disciplines as related to the Trauma program and injury prevention activities.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.

Knowledge of medical terminology, strong oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills.

Pay Range $15 - $19.81/hour
