Trauma Injury Prevention Specialist
CHI St. Alexius Health seeks a full‑time Trauma Injury Prevention Specialist to work under the general direction of the Emergency and Trauma Services Director and the supervision of the Trauma Nurse Coordinator. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, and facilitate injury prevention activities within the Trauma Program and provide secretarial support for program operations in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of CHI St. Alexius Health.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate trauma‑related injury prevention activities and maintain accurate, ongoing records of program activities.
Coordinate meeting times, locations, and agendas for all trauma‑related activities.
Attend all trauma‑related meetings and distribute associated minutes, memorandums, or other communication promptly.
Assist in planning, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating trauma‑related education and prevention programs for organizational staff and community members based on documented needs.
Participate in trauma chart abstraction duties, assist in data collection, data entry, and retrieval in the Trauma registry.
Complete Trauma registry education as directed by the American College of Surgeons for Level 2 trauma centers.
Perform clerical duties for ATLS and TNCC educational programs.
Maintain and assist in updating all Trauma department policies and procedures.
Collaborate effectively with other departments and disciplines related to the Trauma program and injury prevention activities.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Where You’ll Work At CHI St. Alexius Health, one of North Dakota’s largest health networks, the role is based at the regional Level II Trauma Center in Bismarck, where the organization serves the community through a range of inpatient and outpatient services.
Pay Range $15 - $19.81 per hour.
