Maintenance Technician – Eloy, AZ – Otto Environmental Systems Employment Type:

Pay $30.00 per hour (base) – commensurate with experience

Expected Hours:

40–48 per week (8 hour days, second or overnight shift)

Job Summary We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure continuous operations. This role involves ensuring all machinery and equipment run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform regular preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with equipment and machinery and perform necessary repairs.

Conduct troubleshooting on production line equipment and other machinery to quickly resolve breakdowns and malfunctions.

Inspect, adjust, and replace defective parts using a variety of hand tools and power tools.

Maintain a log of daily maintenance activities and equipment repair work to ensure accurate reporting and tracking of issues.

Assist in the installation, modification, or upgrade of equipment and machinery as needed.

Work closely with the production and quality teams to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standard operating procedures during maintenance activities.

Perform general facility maintenance tasks such as lighting, HVAC systems, plumbing, and building repairs.

Monitor spare parts inventory and notify supervisors when parts need to be ordered.

Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and reduce equipment downtime.

Participate in the maintenance and safety training programs, continuously updating skills to adapt to new equipment and technology.

Respond to emergency maintenance requests to minimize production delays or safety risks.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance preferred.

2–4 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.

Experience with maintenance of production machinery, conveyors, motors, pumps, and related equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols for working with machinery and electrical systems.

Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines.

Basic computer skills for maintenance record‑keeping and inventory management.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, on‑call as required.

Working Conditions The work environment may involve moderate noise levels and various weather conditions; hearing protection is required in certain areas.

Physical Requirements Stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
