Manual work in the maintenance, construction and upkeep of irrigation system. Work is performed under close supervision and may require employee to operate motor vehicles and power‑driven equipment. Does related work as required.
This job is required to work the hours of Monday – Friday 6:30am – 3:00pm.
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Perform preventative maintenance of sprinkler system.
Perform minor repairs of system.
Troubleshoot problems and make repairs.
Perform installation of new systems or replacement of existing system.
Perform truck preventive maintenance functions. Drive truck.
Performs other general maintenance duties as assigned.
Full Performance Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Personal Characteristics
Knowledge of basic irrigation repairs and upkeep.
Knowledge of clock and pump repairs.
Knowledge of landscape requirements.
Ability to perform hard manual labor, repair and upkeep of irrigation systems.
Ability to read, write and understand written and verbal instructions.
High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
One year experience in irrigation installation.
(A comparable amount of training, education or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)
Licenses, Certifications Or Registrations
Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License.
