Summary Under the direction of branch management, performs a variety of teller duties including proper receipt and handling of deposits, checks, and payments; cross‑sells products to customers while supporting the brand promise.

Responsibilities

Receives and handles deposits of all types, ensuring proper endorsement on negotiable instruments.

Adheres to the bank’s check‑cashing and limitation‑of‑authority policies.

Issues cashier’s checks and redeems savings bonds.

Reconciles cash and transactions each day to within teller difference standards and reports results through the teller daily balance sheet.

Maintains a helpful, friendly attitude and keeps the drawer properly stocked with currency and coin.

Understands robbery procedures and follows post‑robbery policies.

Maintains a neat, orderly work area and secures all negotiable instruments and confidential records.

Adheres to all security procedures and sells or refers bank products and services to customers and prospects.

Performs all duties from the physical branch or bank location.

Skills and Abilities

Strong customer service and sales skills.

Clear communication with the public.

Good math skills and accurate work.

Knowledge of security issues involving money and checks.

Comfortable handling United States currency and counting accurately.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Sales and customer service experience (preferred).

Experience handling United States currency (preferred).

Basic computer skills (required).

Physical Demands This position requires manual dexterity and the ability to lift files and open cabinets. Bending, stooping or standing as necessary.

Travel Travel may be required for this position.
