Overview
The Account Director plays a key, proactive role in driving direct response fundraising and advocacy strategy from inception through to completion for several clients. The Account Director has three or more years of industry experience and must effectively collaborate with Fuse colleagues, our clients, as well as our creative and production partners, to ensure the on‑time execution of multiple concurrent projects. This role requires a curious, self‑starting individual with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and support the strategic efforts of their team. Key skills include meticulous attention to detail, the ability to manage competing priorities, adherence to schedules and deadlines, and the coordination and execution of the client’s fundraising campaign creative.
Experience and Capabilities
3+ years relevant work experience in direct response fundraising, project management and/or production management with an understanding of a variety of channels and types of programs
Excellent organizational and project/time management skills – must be able to handle multiple projects and competing priorities
Ability to work with a variety of partners and clients
Adaptability to work both independently as well as part of a team
Curious & solution‑focused
Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe editing, to include the ability to utilize these tools to create strategy briefs, projections and presentations for use internally and externally
Understanding of key program metrics to drive fundraising strategies
Specific Responsibilities
Assists in execution of strategic vision for clients fundraising efforts
Assists with development of strategy brief and testing plans
Ability to adhere and manage client costs and achieving budget
Supports account lead with management of annual budget and BvA as needed
Industry representative
Conference attendee
Assists with meeting preparation as needed
Coordinates & manages weekly client status calls
Assists Program Lead with development of meeting materials
Presentation both internally and to client may be required
Work Location *This position is a hybrid position with our office in Reston, Virginia.
