Job Description Summary:
The Automata Lab in the Robotics Engineering Department at WPI is seeking a qualified post‑doctoral fellow to contribute to cutting‑edge research at the intersection of formal methods, machine learning, and control. The fellow will collaborate closely with the PI and a team of faculty and graduate students, working on projects such as reinforcement learning with temporal logic, control barrier functions, and learning‑enabled state estimation.
Responsibilities
Conduct original research in close collaboration with the Automata Lab PI.
Assist in conceiving, writing, and securing research proposals.
Mentor graduate students, supporting research ideation and technical communication.
Requirements
Ph.D. in robotics, computer science, systems engineering, or a related field.
Strong track record of scholarly publications.
Background in formal methods, machine learning, and/or controls engineering.
Compensation $65,000 per year, depending on related experience, expertise, and internal equity.
