Join the beauty retail division of CVS Health, America’s leading retail pharmacy with more than 8,000 stores. We are seeking a talented, sales‑oriented Licensed Beauty Sales Consultant passionate about the beauty industry who believes the customer experience should be top‑notch. You will provide paid beauty services and personalized product advice, managing the end‑to‑end customer experience in Beauty & Personal Care.

Position Summary Providing high‑quality beauty services and retail sales while upholding CVS’s standards for customer care and compliance.

Customer Sales Experience

Seek out customers to ensure a world‑class beauty advisor experience

Provide personalized sales service based on customer needs, productive upselling and suggestive selling

Use verbal skills to stimulate conversation and generate sales

Answer customer questions as a brand expert to produce the largest sales basket possible

Engage customers with CVS services, Beauty Club programs, events, and current promotions to close sales

Performing Services

Represent CVS and partner brands while upholding the highest service standards

Provide ear‑piercing services and all other applicable services in all stores

Pass proficiency assessments before performing services in store

Demonstrate proper product usage and highlight product features to drive purchase conversion

Manage time effectively between consultations, scheduled services and walk‑in clients

Display current Cosmetology/Esthetician license during all working hours as mandated by the state

Operational

Create and maintain product displays and promotional materials supporting key brands

Represent CVS at sales programs and events

Maintain a clean, well‑stocked, well‑merchandised zone complying with hygiene standards

Execute sanitation and hazardous waste disposal policies timely and compliantly

Complete ongoing sales, brand, and paid service training in a timely manner

Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with company policies

Stay up‑to‑date on the latest beauty trends and techniques

Required Qualifications

Current and valid Cosmetology/Esthetician license in the state of employment

Maintain the license at all times and display it during working hours

Ability to perform ear‑piercing services in all stores (and other services offered in the location)

Pass all required skills assessments and training courses

Use sales data with product/brand knowledge to meet sales and service goals

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Goal‑driven, multi‑tasking ability

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment

Available to work in a CVS store and travel to sales programs/events as needed

Available for a flexible retail schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and peak hours

Must be at least 18 years old

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

Prior beauty sales experience with a strong passion for beauty

Physical Requirements

Stand for extended periods and move throughout the store (stocking, facing displays)

Stoops, kneels or crouches, and reach or grasp objects on lower shelves

Perform duties requiring manual dexterity (hair styling, makeup applications, ear piercing)

Physical abilities necessary to support the required qualifications

Education High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)

Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 hours

Time Type Full time

Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is $16.00 – $26.00 per hour. The actual base salary depends on experience, education, geography and other factors.
