Navy Combat Systems Trainer
to join our team in
San Diego, CA . This is a full‑time
onsite
position. As a trainer on the COMNAVSURFPAC Readiness Assistance Training Team (RATT), you will provide timely direct support to ships and enhance shipboard proficiency and self‑sufficiency. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive material condition assessments, review, and assess combat systems programs and preventive and corrective maintenance procedures. Provide classroom and deckplate, on‑the‑job training to Sailors on proper and safe operations, maintenance, and management of combat systems on ships homeported in San Diego, the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, and Japan. Travel up to 25% of the time in support of shipboard training, including international travel. Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent education. 20+ years of experience with the technical aspects of the operations and maintenance of the AEGIS or Ship Self‑Defense System (SSDS) Combat Systems suites. 20+ years of experience with the technical aspects of the operations and maintenance of Navy network and communications systems, supporting systems, and interfaces with associated shipboard systems. Direct operational and maintenance experience, within the last 5 years, with the operations and maintenance of Navy electronic warfare and countermeasures systems currently employed in the Fleet. Clearance Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret security clearance. Physical Requirements
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must be able to maneuver on deckplates aboard ships in port, including ascending and descending ladders. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co‑workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
