Remote; Ideal candidates will reside in the Eastern time zone but Central time zone will also be considered.

Position Summary This EdTech Sales Specialist works with a collaborative team of sales professionals to sell proven K‑12 professional development programs and services. It’s an exciting role partnering with educators and administrators to develop solutions that support student success. The position covers a remote territory and requires a strategic sales plan for our Global PD Teams and Avanti digital platforms.
Essential Job Functions
Become a content area expert on Avanti and Global PD Team offerings
Align offerings with customers’ professional development strategy
Own the end‑to‑end sales process and develop strategies to achieve revenue goals
Create alternative selling strategies when negotiations stall or goals are not metltli>Facilitate product understanding and engagement to maximize sales targets
Qualify new sales opportunities using discovery techniques
Collaborate in identification of target schools and districts and mapping decision‑makers
Build, maintain, forecast an accurate sales pipeline and log activities in Salesforce and SalesLoft
Research the EdTech competitive landscape to inform strategy
Develop and nurture relationships with key decision‑makers
Run custom demos daily and other meetings to highlight functionality and value propositions (expected at least 30 touchpoints a day)
Negotiate deals to close/won
Develop sales and marketing strategies with sales leadership and marketing support
Manage expenses complying with company guidelines
Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands The role requires excellent written, verbal, and auditory communication skills and a valid driver’s license for travel. Light lifting occasional.
Position Type Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Travel Occasional travel (20% or less) to regional events, quarterly departmental meetings, and annual company retreat.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years selling SaaS/EdTech products and solutions
Selling to K‑12 schools preferred but not required
Proven record of hunting/prospecting net new opportunities and closing new partnership clients
Experience working with internal teams to maximize selling opportunities and customer experience
High‑energy and thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic, start‑up sales environment
Ability to learn and explain technical concepts to technical and non‑technical staff at school districts
Technologically proficient with Salesforce.com, SalesLoft, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Remote Work Environment Employees are expected to maintain a dedicated, quiet workspace with no distractions. Personal obligations should not impede work commitments. Candidates are hired based on qualifications, including skills, experience, and education.
