Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Office of Vice President, Gainesville Campus department. The role is part of the regional campus team that plans and delivers community and campus programs and events. In addition to administrative and clerical duties, the student assistant will engage with internal and external stakeholders to cultivate and build positive relationships. The position reports to the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Regional Campuses and will be based on the Gainesville Campus.

Responsibilities

Assist the regional campus team with a high number of internal and external programs and events ranging from small meetings to large-scale conferences and projects.

Develop an understanding of the requirements for events and programs to effectively support the events/program manager with logistical and administrative tasks.

Operate within financial and time constraints for each event and program.

Perform ad‑hoc duties at events, including guest list management and registration, simple AV support, etc.

Help set up and dismantle events efficiently through to completion.

Assist faculty and staff in setting up and managing their events in the software systems utilized by the university.

Greet and respond to the needs of individuals seeking assistance in the office.

May be asked to travel between campuses and off‑campus locations on occasion.

Proficient in MS Office.

Required Qualifications

Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
