Location This is an in‑office role based in

North Charleston, SC, USA .

Schedule Associates must work a minimum of 30 hours per week to maintain full‑time benefits eligibility. This role typically averages

40 hours per week , with overtime required as scheduled.

About The Job As a Collections Specialist, you play a vital role in managing accounts receivable and supporting strong financial performance across multiple business units within Shared Services. You’ll help ensure healthy cash flow by reducing overdue accounts, resolving disputes, and maintaining productive, positive relationships with customers. This role works cross‑functionally, making it a key contributor to both financial and operational performance.

In This Role, You Will

Build strong relationships with customer A/P teams to understand their payment processes and requirements.

Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries.

Use collections software to monitor accounts receivable and identify delinquent accounts.

Analyze aging reports to identify outstanding and past‑due invoices.

Contact customers to gather payment information and confirm they have all required invoice documentation.

Prepare and send customer statements based on the level of delinquency.

Research and resolve disputed invoices, collaborating with billing, pricing, and other internal stakeholders.

Coordinate with the cash application team to ensure timely posting of payments received.

Verify charge validity with internal departments and issue revised invoices when needed.

Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

Associate degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.

Minimum 2 years of experience in credit and collections, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong computer skills; experience with High Radius Collections is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.

Experience in a Shared Services environment

Experience supporting multiple business units or portfolios
