Knuckle Boom Operator General Responsibilities
Work safely - know, understand, and follow all safety rules
Load and unload log trucks
Stack logs in the wet yard
Clean up equipment daily
Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience operating a knuckle boom or similar heavy equipment
Knowledge of hardwood species is preferred
Enthusiasm for being part of a team and working in a team-oriented environment
Self-motivated, resourceful, and willing to take initiative
Ability to cross-train on different loading jobs
Ability to make decisions quickly, utilizing hand-eye-hand-foot coordination
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
Ability to sit for extended periods, climb up and down from cab heights, and work effectively in extreme outdoor climate(s) - cold, heat, rain, fog
