Eaton’s Mission Systems Division (MSD) is currently seeking an Inside Sales Analyst - Bid and Proposal (B&P). This hybrid position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility. The Inside Sales Analyst plays a key role by ensuring accurate and appropriate preparation and submission of complex bid/contract proposals. The ISA leads internal bid and contract review process that often includes interface with senior management, and subsequent interaction with customers. The ISA is responsible for customer relationship management and communications, including bid and proposal discussions as well as production and delivery reporting.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $82,500.03 - $121,000.04 a year.
What You’ll Do
Ensure accurate and appropriate preparation and submission of complex bid/contract proposals
Lead internal bid and contract review process that often includes interface with and approval from senior management
Coordinate bids, contracts, and negotiations, including the management of risk profiles such as assumptions, exceptions, and compliance
Review RFQs and maintain records
Responsible for key customer communications, including recurring meetings, proposal discussions, production delivery status, etc.
Develop understanding of business case and economic conditions affecting proposals
Compile technical, financial, and other project data using database programs for inclusion in reports or presentation materials
Negotiate contracts (price, terms & conditions)
Manage internal financial metrics that include backlog and forecasts for bookings and sales revenue planning
Interface with production personnel to plan shipment of backlog revenue; resolve PO updates with customers
Ensure bids, contracts, and shipments are in accordance with ITAR / Export Compliance
Contribute to supply chain cost management and analysis
Compile data into SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) Executive Report; present to Senior Management as required
Participate in yearly budget preparation, monitor and report actual performance against the budget
Ensure that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Technology, or Business field and minimum two (2) years of experience in an Aerospace, Defense, or engineered product manufacturing environment OR Master’s degree and one (1) year of experience
Prior experience presenting to a diverse audience, including management
Prior experience managing external relationships (vendor or customer)
Access to export-controlled information; applicant must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) and must be able to work in the U.S. without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
No relocation benefit is being offered; only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Orchard Park NY will be considered (Active‑Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical limitation)
