Overview Family Centers Inc., a private non‑profit organization offering education and human services to children, adults, and families living in Lower Fairfield County, seeks a highly qualified and passionate Outreach Clinician for our Family First in Education programs. Family First in Education works toward closing the Achievement Gap via academic enrichment and wrap‑around supports. The Outreach Clinician provides wrap‑around services and clinical interventions to clients/families via home visits (virtual as needed).
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage an average caseload of 20 families, including biweekly or monthly visits.
Assess parent‑child interactions and family functioning.
Link parents to community resources and maintain collaborative relationships with primary care providers, community services, and Greenwich Public Schools.
Maintain accurate records of all client contacts.
Participate weekly in after‑school program.
Assess children for clinical needs, address behavioral concerns, and utilize homework time to elicit student worries.
Qualifications
Education: A master’s degree in social work, human services, or related social science field.
Experience: Previous experience working with low‑income and at‑risk families preferred.
Job Requirements / Skills
CT state driver’s license and automobile liability insurance as required by hiring agency.
License in social work, professional counseling, or marriage and family therapy helpful.
May require weekend and/or evening hours to attend functions or meetings with families.
Bi‑lingual (Spanish).
