Summary The Help Desk Analyst – Level 1 provides first‑level technical support for the Department of Corrections (DOC) under the Bureau of Technology Management (BTM). Working under close supervision, this role supports DOC staff statewide by troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and printing issues while delivering excellent customer service. The position is fully remote within Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

Provide Level 1 technical support for DOC hardware, software, operating systems, networks, and printers.

Respond to support requests via phone, email, web, and voicemail.

Accurately document and update incidents in the Incident Management System.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues on first contact when possible.

Escalate unresolved issues following established procedures.

Assist with software installation requests.

Communicate professionally and promptly with customers.

Collaborate with Help Desk team leads and supervisor as needed.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Minimum 2 years of experience supporting Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2019.

Minimum 2 years of experience with network and printer troubleshooting.

Strong typing skills and ability to multitask.

Wisconsin resident or willing to relocate to Wisconsin prior to start date.

Preferred

Prior Help Desk or call center experience.

Experience with incident management and knowledge base systems.

2+ years of experience supporting iOS devices.

Pay Range Anticipated hourly pay range: $18–$20. This range is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
