Our Call Center Representatives are a big reason we have 100+ successful blood drives each month. Your work will save lives!
Job Summary Responsible for placing outbound calls for scheduling donation appointments, appropriately directing incoming calls, and providing information on The Community Blood Center’s programs, services, and special blood needs.
Schedule
Part‑time position, 19 hours/week.
Shifts range between Monday – Friday, 2 pm – 7 pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Utilize CRM system to contact existing donors and schedule appointments at the most convenient locations.
Achieve individual performance expectations for appointments scheduled, show rate and customer service; assist in achieving company goals for fixed sites and mobiles.
Use critical thinking to determine appropriate outcome of calls.
Provide information as requested; transfer call(s) to appropriate CBC personnel and maintain high quality customer service.
Follow phone scripts and incorporate key talking points used for call evaluations.
Conduct special donor recruitment projects at various locations and distribute CBC information.
Comply with all policies and procedures as outlined in the CBC Employee Handbook, CBC SOPs, or directives upon assignment.
Maintain job‑related skills by attending team meetings, training sessions and reading publications.
Perform other duties as directed.
Job Qualification Requirements
Professional, polite, and confident manner while making multiple phone calls per hour.
Previous call center or appointment‑setting experience is a plus.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must maintain strict confidentiality of CBC and CBC donor information.
Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication.
Strong, flexible interpersonal skills and data entry/computer skills.
Employees may occasionally be required to lift objects or materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
