This is a high-energy, inside sales role built for people who want a real career path, not a desk job. A purpose-driven residential mortgage lender is hiring Jr Loan Officers to join the team in Decatur, Alabama. This role is part of the consumer-direct sales teams, where success is driven by volume, consistency, and effort. In this role, you will work with company-provided inbound leads, spend most of your day on the phone and text campaigns, qualify borrowers using a structured script, and hand off strong opportunities to licensed Loan Officers. You’ll be trained, coached, and sponsored to get licensed, with a clear path to becoming a full Loan Officer within 3-6 months. This role is designed for motivated, coachable sales professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, can handle rejection, and want to build a long-term career in mortgage sales with strong earning upside.

Jr. Loan Officer Responsibilities

Work inbound internet and digital leads supplied by the company

Spend 5-6 hours per day on the phone using a dialer system

Qualify borrowers using a structured script and discovery questions

Manage active text conversations with prospective borrowers

Identify strong opportunities and pass qualified leads to Loan Officers

Learn mortgage products, including purchase, refinance, and cash-out loans

Participate in licensing preparation with corporate training support

Consistently hit activity and conversion metrics tied to promotion readiness

Jr. Loan Officer Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of real-world work experience

Currently working in a commission-based sales role

Strong work ethic with the ability to handle rejection and stay consistent

Coachable mindset and willingness to follow a proven sales process

High emotional intelligence and professionalism

Ability and willingness to obtain NMLS licensingComfortable working onsite, full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred

Phone sales experience strongly preferred
