Overview You will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals, offering excellent customer service in one of our most popular departments.
Responsibilities
Prepare fresh foods such as vegetables, sliced meats, and cheeses for made‑to‑order sandwiches and catering orders.
Provide a high level of customer service and offer product knowledge to shoppers.
Maintain food‑safety standards, operating slicers, wrapping, and cooking equipment safely.
Housekeeping: clean and sanitize work areas, cases, coolers, and freezers.
Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Lift and carry product weighing up to 70 lbs. and stand steadily for up to 8 hours per shift.
Answer phones and take special orders.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
At least 18 years old with a high‑school diploma or equivalent, and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Dependable, reliable, and friendly with a positive attitude.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and to take direction in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle phones.
Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs., stand up to 4 hours continuously, and work in cooler and freezer environments.
Food Handlers permit and adherence to safety, health, and Weights & Measures regulations.
Pay $16.95 – $22.90 per hour, based on applicable experience and qualifications.
