About Our Property The Hanover Inn, founded in 1780, has welcomed Presidents Monroe, Wilson, F.D.R., Eisenhower, Nixon, and Reagan, as well as cultural icons such as Kirk Douglas, Ella Fitzgerald, and B.B. King. With a rich legacy and historic charm, the Inn offers a unique setting for culinary excellence.
Responsibilities
Supervise banquet kitchen staff.
Plan, schedule, and organize staffing to ensure proper coverage.
Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
Conduct pre‑shift meetings and review all information relevant to daily activities.
Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items.
Check and maintain proper storage of all food items in refrigerators and freezers to ensure freshness.
Ensure all banquet kitchen staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their daily tasks.
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards.
Respond promptly to guest needs and follow up as required.
Promote teamwork and motivation through daily communication.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Superior communication skills.
Degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
Compensation $75,000 – $85,000 (dependent on qualifications and location).
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
