This REGIONAL OTR opportunity will be based in Bayport, MN or Menomonie, WI. The driver will be hauling dedicated Andersen freight and delivering our windows and doors to our dealers while picking up raw materials. The position requires safe driving, excellent customer service, and a range of physical skills. Primary Responsibilities Safely assist in loading and unloading the product to customers’ locations and/or returning products. Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of windows and doors of varying weights. Drive truck to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations. Apply knowledge of commercial driving and maneuver vehicle at varying speed in difficult situations such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or in tight loading dock areas. Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver logs, fuel purchases, mileage records, etc. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle. Professional representation of the Andersen Corporation. Answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging and material content; if unable, direct customer to appropriate contact at Andersen. Qualifications and Skill Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License. Acceptable accident and moving violation Motor Vehicle Record. Two years of tractor‑trailer (or straight truck) driving experience, including winter driving. Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic for receipts, maps, road signs and logs. Good oral communication skills. Ability to follow instructions via on‑board computer system and phone. Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems. Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspection and maintenance. Meet or exceed the medical standards of the U.S. Department of Transportation. Pass a drug test. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and remain alert while driving for extended periods. Ability to shift manual transmission and operate foot pedals. Ability to perform frequent squatting or crouching to handle and secure windows and doors. Able to push/pull windows and doors up to 100 pounds on a dolly or cart. Able to carry windows and doors up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds. Reach cargo above shoulder, waist, and below waist for maneuvering and directing controls. Hook/unhook commercial vehicle combinations, manually lower/raise landing gear, operate fifth wheel lever, lock/release pintle‑hooks, attach/disconnect safety chains, open/close cargo doors, climb in/out vehicles, fuel vehicles, check engine oil/coolant levels. Compensation
Pay is based on experience, education, location, certifications, etc. Successful candidates are expected to earn $0.65 CPM. Pay range: $34.35 per mile (fixed).
