Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional
to join our team for the upcoming season.

The Seasonal Assistant Professional plays a key role in delivering an exceptional golf experience. This position supports day‑to‑day golf operations; assists with tournament setup and scoring; helps manage the driving range, simulator bays, and cart fleet; contributes to merchandising and retail presentation; and participates in teaching and coaching opportunities alongside PGA Professionals. With a strong focus on service, learning, and leadership, this role is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in golf or advancing through the PGA Associate Program.

Position Information
Pay $18 to $23 an hour based on experience.
100 % of Lesson Revenue (Estimated $4,000-$6,000)
PUD on equipment as well as Soft Goods Discount up to 30%.
Discount on Food and Beverage at the grill.
PGA PGM Education Incentives ($500 to $1,500 end of season reimbursement)
Seasonal Position (March through mid-November)
General Purpose The Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional supports the day‑to‑day golf operations at Eaglewood Golf Course by assisting in tournament operations, merchandising, player development programs, and overall customer service. The position rotates through key operational areas to help develop a well‑rounded golf professional capable of managing leagues, coaching junior programs, overseeing range operations, and supervising part‑time staff.
Supervision Received Works under the general direction of the General Manager and Head Golf and 1st Assistant Professional. Assignments are given with general guidelines, and the employee is expected to use independent judgment and professionalism in daily tasks, customer interactions, and operational decisions.
Supervision Exercised Provides functional supervision and direction to part‑time golf shop staff, cart attendants, and range personnel. Assists in training seasonal employees, monitoring performance, and maintaining standards for customer service, pace of play, and cleanliness.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
Graduation from high school or equivalent; AND PGA Associate, Apprentice, or PGA Golf Management student preferred; non‑PGA candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
Previous experience in golf operations, tournaments, or retail preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with players of all ages.
Knowledge of Golf Genius, TrackMan, or similar golf software preferred.
Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required during the golf season.
Must be professional, organized, reliable, and customer‑focused.
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of basic golf operations, tournament formats, and customer service practices.
Understanding of golf instruction fundamentals and junior program best practices.
Familiarity with Golf Genius, TrackMan, or similar systems (preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to teach, lead groups, and resolve issues effectively.
Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and make sound decisions during busy periods.
Skill in merchandising, retail presentation, and basic inventory management.
Ability to stay organized, maintain clean work areas, and uphold facility standards.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist with golf shop operations, customer service, tee sheet management, pace‑of‑play support, and opening/closing procedures.
Support merchandising operations including purchasing assistance, displays, inventory checks, and retail sales.
Teach private lessons, group clinics, and player development programs.
