POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for performing essential consumer loan processing functions for both direct and indirect loans. This includes post-decision processing, collecting and verifying documents, preparing loan packages, completing funding steps, and communicating with members and dealer partners.

This position emphasizes accuracy, consistent communication, attention to detail, and timely completion of loan files while delivering excellent service and cross-selling appropriate Credit Union products. Projects the Credit Union’s professional image.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Assumes responsibility for processing and funding direct and indirect consumer loans.

Ensures accuracy of information and data entry for each indirect contract Funds indirect contracts within the specified time frame.

Funds indirect contracts within the specified time frame.

Maintains current lists for dealer contracts, account funding information and collateral insurance carriers.

Opens membership accounts for new indirect relationships

Reviews approved consumer loan applications to ensure all required items have been obtained and the loan is structured within the terms of the Credit Unions Lending Policies.

Performs various clerical tasks, including but not limited to member correspondence regarding lending decision(s), and collection of documents required for account opening and loan processing.

Prepare consumer loan document packages ensuring all required documents are accounted for, prepared accurately, and signed by all appropriate parties.

Disburse direct loans with accuracy and within the specified time frame.

Provides general credit union policy and program information to members.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective business relations with clients, vendors, and trade professionals.

Assists with questions and problems courteously and promptly.

Maintains the Credit Union's professional reputation.

Actively and professionally cross sells Credit Union products and services.

Assist in training dealership finance personnel to ensure everyone is knowledgeable about the program requirements and procedures.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relations with Credit Union personnel and management.

Assists and supports department personnel.

Coordinates activities with related departments and obtains or conveys information as needed.

Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.

Attends and participates in meetings as required.

Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

Ensures work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.

Completes special projects as assigned.

Comply with the U.S. Patriot Act and the Credit Union’s Bank Secrecy and OFAC Policies and Procedures.

Comply with the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act and the Credit Union’s Information Security program, maintaining the privacy and security of information, systems, and locations.

Requirements QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

High school graduate or equivalent.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

Financial Institution or lending experience preferred; no prior processing experience required

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

One to two years of related office experience.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Strong attention to detail.

Good verbal and public relations skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong typing abilities.

Good basic math skills.

Able to use related computer applications.

Well organized.

MATHEMATICS ABILITY:

Ability to perform basic math skills, use decimals to compute ratios and percents, and to draw and interpret graphs.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Ability to use passive vocabulary of 5,000-6,000 words; read at a slow rate; and define unfamiliar words in dictionaries for meaning, spelling, and pronunciation.

Ability to write complex sentences, using proper punctuation, and using adjectives and adverbs.
