Occasional Babysitter
A wonderful family in Damascus is looking for an occasional babysitter to support their 13-year-old and 11-year-old, either in the mornings before school or in the afternoons after school. Care would be on an as-needed basis, with shifts typically from 5:30/6:00am9:00am or 3:40pm6:30pm. Some needs will be scheduled in advance, while others may come up on short notice. You don't need to be available for every request, but flexibility is a plus. If you are only available for mornings or only for afternoons, please note that in your application. Responsibilities: Walk 13-year-old home safely to or from the bus stop Assist with snacks and meal preparation; serve dinner as needed Be present during scheduled therapies Offer homework help or encouragement with school assignments as needed Ensure a safe and positive environment Communicate with parent about the day, including any updates or concerns Help with light tidying related to the children's activities and meals Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of paid professional childcare experience Special needs experience preferred! CPR certified, or willingness to become certified Legally authorized to work in the U.S. High School diploma or equivalent Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a professional setting Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening Must have clean driving record, proof of driver's insurance, and reliable transportation Must be comfortable with small dog in the home (no pet care necessary) Compensation: Position pays $25-30 per hour and client is looking for varying hours as-needed.
