Occasional Babysitter
We're currently looking for an occasional babysitter in Alameda, CA 94502. A lovely family in Bay Farm, Alameda is seeking an occasional babysitter for their 9-year-old daughter, with an immediate start. The family needs backup care when their daughter's school is closed and for last-minute sick days, typically on Mondays or Fridays from 8:00 AM
5:00 PM. Their daughter enjoys gymnastics and may be shy at first but warms up quickly once comfortable. There will usually be at least one parent working from home, and they're seeking a sitter who can actively engage with their child so they can focus on work. The family can often provide 23 weeks' notice before care is needed, though occasional short-notice sick care may be required for the following day. Those applying do not need to be available for all of the family's requests, but should understand that there are no guaranteed hours for this position. The family also has a small, friendly dog (~56 lbs). No pet care required. A great candidate will be creative, engaging, and reliable, with a love for keeping kids active and entertained. Minimum of 2 years of paid professional childcare experience CPR certified, or willingness to become certified Legally authorized to work in the U.S. High School diploma or equivalent Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a professional setting Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening
