Pricing Operations Role at Cardinal Health

Pricing Operations contributes significantly to Cardinal Health by using sound judgment in decision making when operationalizing customer, manufacturer, and group purchasing contracts. The Implementation Team within Medical Pricing Services is responsible for customer contract administration, as well as administering and reviewing pricing initiatives as deemed appropriate. This team is tasked with researching and problem-solving contract and eligibility issues while onboarding new Cardinal Health distribution customers and/or assist customers with Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) transitions and acting as a liaison with internal and external key stakeholders. Develops and manages customer relationships within pricing and contract implementation process. Responsibilities include: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align pricing with customers, onboarding, GPO transfers or disengages from Cardinal Manage customer relationships throughout the pricing and contract implementation processes Communicate updates and resolutions to stakeholders Manages case plans, resources, and commitments to the customer Analytical thinking skills are required to understand complex functional situations by paying attention to the details of the tasks at hand and by breaking them down into smaller pieces. Identifies data requirements, often beyond the standard, and collects all relevant data needed to analyze a complex problem, situation, or issue. Applies hypotheses and an understanding of cause and effect when analyzing a complex process, situation, or issue or discerning data patterns. Identifies advanced implications/conclusions from the logical analysis of a complex situation or issue. Customer experience is ensured by committing to meet or exceed client expectations, displaying honest empathy regarding customers' concerns and issues; determining customers' needs and expectations and responding accordingly. Adopts customers' perspectives in order to understand their expectations; makes decisions in accordance with customer perspectives and cultural sensitivities. Integrates knowledge of Cardinal Health's organizational structure into solutions development. Operational excellence is achieved by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency while providing flawless transactions and services; managing monetary assets and other resources to optimize cost-effectiveness. Recognizes unnecessary workflow steps and identifies synergies among processes to improve productivity. Maintains a strong focus on delivering high quality work; holds self to high quality standards.
