Server Position At Blue Ethiopian Cuisine & Cafe
We are looking for a professional, high-energy server to join our team. As the face of Blue Ethiopian Cuisine & Cafe, you will do more than just take orders; you will create an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate is a multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a guest-first mentality. Key Responsibilities: Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, explain menu items, and make personalized recommendations based on preferences or dietary needs. Order Management: Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the Toast POS system. Table Maintenance: Deliver dishes promptly, perform quality checks, and ensure tables remain clean and cleared throughout the meal. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the kitchen bar staff to ensure timing and accuracy of orders. Financial Integrity: Process payments accurately and handle cash/credit transactions with high attention to detail. Side Work: Assist with opening/closing duties, including polishing glassware, rolling silverware, and maintaining station cleanliness. Qualifications & Skills: Experience: 1+ years of experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred (but we are willing to train the right personality!). Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety practices and wine/craft beer knowledge is a plus. Physical Stamina: Ability to stay on your feet for 4-5 hours and carry trays weighing up to 20 lbs. Availability: Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Soft Skills: A positive attitude, a neat appearance, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
