They're now expanding their transactional practiceparticularly in commercial real estateand want a talented attorney to take on deals, lead execution, and build that vertical. No remote Autonomy to lead cases from intake through trial Close collaboration with founding partners Exposure to high-profile clients and major deals Commercial Real Estate Transactions Attorney Requirements & Qualifications Must Haves JD from an accredited law school; admitted to the New York Bar 8+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience Demonstrated track record in acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, joint ventures Strong skills in drafting and negotiating purchase & sale agreements, mortgages, leases, loan documents, UCC matters Experience performing and managing due diligence (title, survey, environmental, zoning, tax, survey, building, etc.) Ability to lead closings and coordinate all parties (lenders, title, survey, escrow, counsel) Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, analytical, and commercial instincts Comfort managing multiple deals simultaneously in a fast-moving environment Day to day, you will: Drive acquisition, disposition, joint venture, financing, and leasing deals Review and clear title, zoning, survey, environmental issues Negotiate terms and draft definitive documents (PSAs, mortgages, leases, intercreditor, JV agreements) Coordinate closing logistics and document execution Interface with lenders, sponsors, title companies, surveyors, and other counsel Structuring creative deal terms, negotiating carveouts, warranties, indemnities Manage internal checklists and ensure compliance with deal timelines Commercial Real Estate Transactions Attorney Preferred Background & Skills Experience in development deals, ground leases, structured real estate finance, or CMBS Experience representing institutional clients, private equity, or REITs Prior background in deals crossing into restructuring or distressed real estate Experience with cross-jurisdiction deals or multi-state transactions Existing client relationships or network in real estate/development circles If you're a deal-driven real estate attorney ready to lead major transactions and scale with a firm that backs ambitious lawyers, let's talk.
