The CNC Programmer and Process Coordinator is a highly skilled professional responsible for overseeing CNC programming processes and ensuring precision, efficiency, and compliance with quality standards. This role demands advanced technical expertise in CNC programming, 5-axis machining, and blueprint interpretation, combined with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Your Role and Responsibilities
Apply expert knowledge of FANUC G/M code, Heidenhain TNC 640, and Renishaw Probe and Laser systems, with proficiency in Mastercam, SolidWorks, or similar tools. Interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequences. Collaborate with engineering and quality to develop, optimize, and validate CNC programs for maximum efficiency and accuracy. Maintain and update CNC programming databases to ensure consistency and compliance with production standards. Diagnose and resolve CNC-related issues, coordinating tool/material flow, leveraging advanced troubleshooting skills and consulting with engineering teams as needed. Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, production, and quality teams to coordinate assignments and resolve technical challenges. Work with vendors to source and order support equipment and manage all CNC programs across production to ensure alignment with operational goals. What is Required for the Role
Education: High School Diploma/GED required; advanced technical training preferred. Experience: Minimum 7+ years of CNC programming experience, with expert-level proficiency in Mastercam and 5-axis programming. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Blueprint Reading, GD&T, and advanced inspection tools and methods. Problem-Solving: Ability to detect, isolate, and correct irregularities in machinery and equipment. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes and competing priorities. Professionalism: Safety-oriented, mature, and detail-driven work ethic.
