Vice President, Transaction Management & Accounting Advisory

As the
Vice President, Transaction Management & Accounting Advisory , you’ll act as a trusted advisor on accounting treatments for complex transactions, new products, and structured deals. You’ll ensure financial integrity while optimizing for commercial outcomes—bridging the gap between accounting theory and trading‑floor execution. This is a highly visible role within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where technical expertise meets business strategy. Key Responsibilities
Partner with
traders, structurers, and finance leaders
to provide technical IFRS accounting advice on complex and innovative transactions.
Lead
accounting analyses
and documentation supporting financial reporting, audits, and regulatory submissions.
Translate complex accounting issues into practical, commercial solutions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to
improve transaction workflows
and reporting processes.
Support new product launches, ensuring appropriate accounting frameworks are established.
Present findings and insights to
senior management
to inform decision‑making and mitigate risk.
Act as a technical resource for other finance teams, mentoring junior professionals as needed.
Candidate Profile
CPA (or equivalent)
required, with
5–10 years
of audit or technical accounting experience.
Strong grasp of
IFRS , particularly around financial instruments, derivatives, and structured products.
Background from
Big 4 accounting advisory
or a financial institution strongly preferred.
Excellent communication skills—able to clearly articulate accounting implications to non‑technical stakeholders.
Commercially minded with an ability to navigate between
technical accuracy and business impact.
Experience with
commodities, credit products, or structured transactions
is a major plus.
