About This Position Student Ambassadors enhance student service by providing basic information regarding transcripts, registration, student records, graduation, etc., and assisting the Registrar team with student records maintenance tasks. Primary duties involve assistance with academic records maintenance projects and answering student inquiries.

Essential Job Functions

Assist with student records maintenance tasks, including entry of academic credit earned via CLEP or other credit by exam, clean‑up of transfer catalog data, and other student records updates as assigned.

Maintain confidentiality of student records and observe policies related to student privacy (FERPA).

Assist students with inquiries related to transcripts, registration, student records, graduation, etc., and other student services.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

Currently enrolled as a student at OSU-OKC

Prior experience working in an office setting or customer service environment.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly, and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately with all students, faculty, staff, and community partners.

Accurate typing/data entry skills and demonstrated ability to work with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and also collaborate within a team environment.

Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to office computers, printers, scanners, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Passion for assisting students with educational endeavors and representing the OSU‑OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.

Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with the OSU‑OKC campus and enrollment process.

Working Conditions

Must be able to work during normal business hours.

Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone, via email, and various communication platforms.

Physical Requirements

Duties require extended periods of sitting, talking and listening.

Duties require extensive use of computers, telephone and other office equipment.

Requires possible lifting of up to 25 lbs. (If an object weights more than 45 lbs., OSU‑Oklahoma City requires this to be a two‑person lift).
