Program Description Blackstone’s Real Estate Summer Analyst program is a unique experience among financial firms, enabling Summer Analysts to develop a well‑rounded and fine‑tuned business mind. Upon completion of training, Summer Analysts will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of projects and be staffed on a number of assignments at once. Due to the relatively small size of the group, Summer Analysts have the opportunity to assume integral roles on a team.

Responsibilities Blackstone’s Real Estate Group offers Summer Analysts the experience of a professional team whose work involves the acquisition of real‑estate‑related companies, portfolios of real‑estate assets and individual properties worldwide. Throughout the program, our Summer Analysts are involved with the development, structuring, and financing of transactions and regularly attend both internal and external meetings, negotiations and due diligence sessions. Summer Analysts will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of transactions including new loan originations, acquisitions of legacy loans, CMBS and other forms of public and private debt, restructurings, and recapitalizations.

Real‑estate and public company valuation analysis and modeling

Market research

Competitive analysis

Development of investment committee presentations

Assistance in the diligence and execution of transactions

Drafting of memoranda for internal and external use

Summer Analysts will work on a wide range of transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, recapitalizations, joint ventures and leveraged buyouts.

Qualifications Prior analytical experience and a basic knowledge of accounting, finance and real estate are desirable. Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
