Join Lindley Habilitation Services as a Periodic Direct Support Professional (DSP).
Mondays 9am-4:30pm
Overview DSPs play an essential role in helping individuals live meaningful, dignified lives. As a representative of Lindley Habilitation Services, you will create and maintain professional, positive, and nurturing relationships with those served and their support systems. You will provide individualized care to people diagnosed with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities, mental health conditions, or substance abuse, addressing areas such as motor skills, communication, socialization, personal self‑care, ADLs, adaptive behaviors, and treatment goals. Documentation, medication management, feeding and meal preparation, and other client interactions will also be part of the role.
Responsibilities
Assist individuals with goal completion as documented in their individualized support plan.
Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, brushing teeth, toileting, feeding, and meal preparation.
Safely transport individuals in company or personally owned vehicles.
Accompany individuals to community integration activities.
Complete all required documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) promptly.
Actively engage individuals in their home and community settings.
Uphold, respect, and advocate for individual rights at all times.
Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of client information.
Adhere to company policies and core values, fostering a professional and supportive environment.
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries in all interactions.
Serve as a mandated reporter and report any suspicion of abuse, neglect, or exploitation immediately.
Administer prescribed medications upon completion of training.
Use technology proficiently.
Remain awake and alert for the duration of all shifts.
Perform physical demands of the position, including lifting and transfers.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
At least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Reliable transportation.
Successfully complete background checks.
Successfully complete health screening, including TB screening (may vary by state/program).
