Job Summary
As an Activity Aide, you will assist in planning and facilitating a variety of activities that promote resident engagement, improve quality of life, and support emotional, cognitive, and physical health. The activity aide ensures accurate documentation of resident participation and progress and contributes to the development and maintenance of individualized care plans in coordination with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care and wellbeing of residents.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in recreation therapy or related field is a plus Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in recreational or therapeutic activities, social services, or caregiving roles is strongly encouraged Prior experience working in a recreational or therapeutic setting preferred Knowledge of recreational activities and programs suitable for diverse populations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of participants
Responsibilities
Assist in developing and implementing recreational programs and activities to meet the physical, mental, and emotional needs of participants Engage with individuals in a respectful and encouraging manner to promote participation and social interaction Set up equipment and supplies needed for activities, ensuring a safe and organized environment Monitor and assess participants' progress and well-being during recreational activities Collaborate with recreational therapists, healthcare professionals, and other staff to enhance the overall quality of programs Maintain documentation and records related to program participation and individual progress
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift objects or equipment as needed Capable of assisting participants with mobility and physical activities Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
