REQ-4948**Job Description Summary**The Loch Lloyd Country Club Assistant Golf Professional facilitates and oversees the enjoyment of the golf experience by providing instruction, coordinating tee times and tournaments, and marketing merchandise and service. The Assistant Golf Professional must maintain excellent customer service and train the Player Services Team.**Job Description****Essential Functions*** Responsible for assisting with Golf Shop Operations, including tee sheet management, Golf Shop cleanliness, answering telephones, selling merchandise and building displays in adherence with company standards.* Always uphold the standards and expectations for a high-quality golf lesson.* Conduct golf lessons to enhance player skill and generate revenue.* Build and maintain professional relationships with all members and immediate families, as well as continuously interact to ensure their ultimate satisfaction.* Ensure that all member golf rounds exceed expectations.* Create, organize, set up, manage and operate all Member Tournaments, as well as follow-up with members and associates in regard to the success of the tournaments.* Organize and set up tee sheets to maximize play for all types and skills of players.* Start and manage play from the tee sheet, as well as monitor the pace of play and continue to patrol the golf course.* Manage the GHIN handicap system.* Manage all internal golf club repairs and any repairs sent outside the club.* Assist with Junior Golf Programs by marketing the programs and providing instruction.* Ensure proper product displays, pricing and selling to members and guests.* Continue to build knowledge on new and emerging trends, as well as membership likes and dislikes.* Represent Loch Lloyd Country Club in a professional manner at all times.* Perform other related tasks as assigned.**Personal Attributes*** Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.* Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.* Ability to work under pressure and perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with daily activities.* Excellent public speaking and customer service skills, as well as a friendly, outgoing personality.* Strong leadership and motivational skills.* Exceptional time management.* Ability to organize, coordinate and direct team activities with a high level of patience.* Portrays an image of professionalism, class and sophistication, as well as a passion for the game of golf.**Skills and Experience*** Bachelor’s Degree preferred.* Currently enrolled with the PGA Apprenticeship Program.* Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience as an Assistant Golf Professional, as well as a positive work history that includes comparable, high-end golf facility oversight.* Experience teaching and coaching various golf skill sets.* Thorough and working knowledge of the rules and strategies of the game of golf.* Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.**Physical Abilities**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
