AvaMed Inc. is a leading Healthcare Staffing Agency specializing in placing qualified providers throughout California State Correctional Facilities. We are currently seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time assignment at the correctional facility in Stockton, CA.

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Weekly Pay
$45/hr Traveler
Job Duties/Requirements:
Perform respiratory care in accordance with generally accepted, evidence‑based practices.
Set up respiratory equipment and provide clear instructions for patient/youth use following established policies and procedures.
Conduct complete medical evaluations during scheduled clinic hours or upon consult request by the CEO/CME or designee, and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
Maintain all charting on a daily basis; no chart may remain delinquent for more than 10 days as this may result in termination.
Assist in the development, review, and updating of respiratory therapy policies and procedures.
Periodically assess equipment needs and provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements.
Submit required materials for Institution in‑service training—including Curriculum Vitae (CV), course outline, objectives, and post‑tests—at least one week prior to the scheduled course.
Complete special respiratory care assignments as requested by the CEO/CME or designee (e.g., quality improvement projects, utilization review, and other related initiatives).
