Pay Range $21.00/hr – $24.00/hr.
Job Description We seek a dedicated and experienced Fire Systems Inspector to evaluate and test Fire Alarm/Sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance and safety. The successful candidate will work with customers, vendors, and our internal team, providing clear explanations and documentation.
Responsibilities
Inspect and test Fire Alarm and Sprinkler system components to confirm proper functionality.
Document deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
Educate customers on system operation.
Maintain professional interaction with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
Adhere to safety regulations and internal procedures.
Demonstrate a willingness for continuous learning.
Follow Koorsen policies, procedures, and core values.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of mechanical skills experience; backflow experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
Experience with electronic testing devices.
Pass a drug and background screening.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Backflow certification.
Fire Alarm manufacturer certifications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Basic understanding of IT functionality.
NICET certification.
Physical Demands
Use general hand and power tools safely.
Lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs.; push or pull >75 lbs.
Climb ladders to at least 12 ft, use a man lift, and reach heights >40 ft.
Work in various weather conditions and temperature changes.
Receive, speak, and hear while performing tasks; may sit, stand, walk, and use hands frequently.
Hiring Process New hires must complete the I-9 Verification form within three days of employment. Background checks, including criminal records, DMV, and employment eligibility verification, are required. A urinalysis test for evidence of substance abuse may be required if the application results in an offer.
