We are seeking a
Fire Systems Inspector
in the Lexington, KY area. The role includes responsibility for inspecting and testing fire alarm and sprinkler systems, ensuring customer understanding, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Pay and Benefits Base pay: $28.00/hr – $30.00/hr. Benefits include health package, annual bonus, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid holidays, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and career growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
Inspect and test Fire Alarm & Sprinkler systems and their components to ensure proper functionality.
Document deficiencies and provide recommendations.
Educate customers on system functionality.
Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
Follow all safety regulations and practices.
Show willingness for continual learning.
Adhere to Koorsen policies, procedures, and core values.
Perform other duties as determined by management.
Required qualifications
1 year of fire alarm experience.
KY fire alarm license or NICET certification.
Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
Experience with electronic testing devices.
Pass drug and background screenings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred qualifications
Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage, or Security experience.
Fire Alarm Manufacturer’s Certifications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Basic understanding of IT functionality.
NICET certification.
Physical Demands
Use of general hand and power tools.
Lift and carry minimum 75 lbs.; push/pull >75 lbs.
Climb ladders to at least 12 ft.; use man lift, reach >40 ft.
Exposure to outside weather, temperature changes, loud noises.
Perform duties requiring talking, hearing, sit/stand/walk, use hands.
Hiring Process
New hires must complete I-9 verification within three days.
Background checks and E-Verify.
Urinalysis test for substance abuse evidence if offered.
