Overview We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist, internally referred to as our Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). The Respiratory Therapist focuses on assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting care while considering the specific needs of patients based on age and population. In the absence of a supervisor, the candidate may be designated as the Lead RRT, overseeing the department during their shift.

Responsibilities
Provide inhalation therapies, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications to help patients breathe more easily
Conduct pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis to assess lung capacity and gas exchange in patients
Setup, monitor, and adjust ventilators and other life‑supporting equipment for patients who cannot breathe independently
Participate in acute response teams, perform airway management, intubations, and resuscitation as needed
Assess patients’ respiratory status, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans accordingly
Ensure all respiratory equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained to prevent infections and ensure patient safety
Qualifications
State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained
RT certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintained
PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintained
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years experience as an RCP (plus)
NRP certificate (plus)
Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree (plus)
