A/R & Billing Specialist
Private school is seeking an A/R & Billing Specialist to join their team.
Responsibilities
Manage daily cash operations, including monitoring balances and initiating transfers/wires
Monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, receivables, donations, tuition, and other revenue streams
Process cash receipts, electronic deposits, and related journal entries
Reconcile tuition and donation records with the School’s financial systems
Support year-end financial processes, including tuition adjustments, pledges, discounts, and audit preparation
Coordinate and process all tuition and supplemental billing
Reconcile student billing to the general ledger and follow up on delinquent accounts
Respond promptly to parent inquiries and assist with financial aid reimbursements and documentation
Track deferred revenue, assist with surveys, and support other Business Office projects as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 4–5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience required; nonprofit or independent school experience preferred
Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge/Tuition Management strongly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) and G Suite required
