Brio Internal Medicine
Position Overview
Works with the Coordinator, Provider Support Team and team to support providers through telephone encounters (TE’s) and documents while ensuring consistency with patient care across Brio.
Essential Functions
Takes ownership of ensuring the “Brio Way” is experienced by Brio patients, families, and internal team members. Promotes an authentic, transparent work environment within the clinical areas.
Helps carry out team short term and long-term goals for the Clinical Support Team.
Will work alongside the clinical support team and providers to increase efficiency and consistency in patient communication and care.
Provide communication with providers regarding patterns that are seen within TE’s/documents that could be changed to improve patient experience and decrease workload for provider and PST team members.
Will work through TE’s/prior authorizations and documents efficiently in order to answer a high number of questions and concerns daily, while maintaining the Brio Way.
Provides over the top customer service to patients and team members while following Brio protocols.
Call patients to communicate results or provider delegated information in a timely manner, as well as handling medication refill requests following the medication refill protocol.
Thoroughly review charts for information needed for patient communication.
Work through patient documents and respond appropriately
Perform additional tasks as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
High School degree or equivalent
MA, CMA/RMA, LPN (Licensure not required but acknowledged)
Medical office experience preferred but not required
Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
Comfortable with computer skills and excellent typing
Must be comfortable practicing candor and giving feedback to team members and providers when appropriate.
Work environment and Physical Demands Requires sitting, standing, and walking associated with normal physician office environment. Person may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, infectious diseases, blood/bodily fluids, and disease-bearing specimens.
