Your Responsibilities

Identify and target potential clients within the commercial construction industry to promote and sell our building products.

Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and industry trends to tailor sales strategies effectively.

Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by identifying leads, qualifying prospects, and following up on opportunities.

Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations to highlight the features, benefits, and value propositions of our building products.

Collaborate closely with the internal sales team, branch management, product managers, and technical experts to ensure accurate product information is provided to clients.

Build and nurture strong, long‑lasting relationships with clients by understanding their requirements and offering tailored solutions.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients, ensuring a win‑win outcome for both parties.

Provide exceptional post‑sales support, addressing client inquiries, concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.

Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets, contributing to the overall revenue growth of the organization.

Keep abreast of industry developments, competitive landscape, and emerging trends to identify new sales opportunities.

Communicate and coordinate proactively with Branch Support teams to ensure effective and successful support of material sales and deliveries, driving customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.

Your Skills

Proven track record of successful outside sales experience within the commercial construction building products industry.

Strong knowledge of commercial building products, materials, and construction processes.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse clients and build rapport.

Self‑motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales goals.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and maintaining a disciplined sales approach.

Proficiency in using CRM software to manage leads, opportunities, and sales activities.

Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory to meet clients and attend industry events.

Your Qualifications

Minimum of 18 years of age.

If operating a Company Vehicle, a valid driver’s license will be required.

Three to five (3‑5) years in outside sales in commercial construction markets.

Building industry knowledge required.

Experience working with commercial construction companies required.

Education

High School/Equivalent.

A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Travel Requirements Amount of Travel Required: Up to 75%.

Physical Requirements Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Requires the safe usage of ladders. Work is performed at installation sites or warehouses – may require climbing, stooping, balancing, kneeling, crawling, bending, lifting, driving a car or truck, and sitting and standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. Noise levels are moderate. Ability to lift 50 lbs. or less.

Compensation Range $30,000.00 – $250,000.00
