Senior Business Manager/Financial Management - Level 3 Location:

What You Will Be Doing Join Lockheed Martin Aeronautics and play a key role in driving the financial success of one of our major programs. As a Senior Business Manager within the Finance & Business Operations organization, you’ll serve as a strategic partner—integrating data, insights, and performance metrics across multiple functions to deliver strong business results and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a motivated, analytical professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys working cross‑functionally to solve complex financial and programmatic challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Lead financial and business management activities supporting a major program or product area.

Integrate data and insights across functions including Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Master Planning, Engineering, and Supply Chain to drive informed decision‑making.

Manage both short‑ and long‑term financial performance, including contract orders, sales, profit, cash flow, capital expenditures, and overhead costs.

Oversee earned value management, program budgets, and performance reporting (including Estimates at Completion).

Assess and communicate program risks, issues, and opportunities—developing actionable plans to ensure financial and operational health.

Serve as a key liaison between internal leadership, cross‑functional teams, and external customers.

Support strategic initiatives, including new business pursuits, proposal development, and business case analyses.

Provide financial guidance and analysis for enterprise investments, system integrations, and other critical business activities.

MUST BE A US CITIZEN

A Level 3 employee typically has 5–8 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or 5 years of experience in the absence of a Bachelor’s degree.

Minimum of three years of experience in a Business/Finance/Supply Chain related role.

Desired Skills

Independence of action.

Experience with DCMA audit requirements.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to tailor content for the target audience.

Confident presenter with ability to address customer questions and commit to future responses, and follow‑through.

Proven contributor in a team environment, sharing responsibilities and volunteering to take the lead on challenges for resolution.

Resourceful with a strong personal network.

Excellent rapport with customers and strong working relationships with other functions and programs.

Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.

Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US citizen for consideration. Clearance level: Secret.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time. The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees.

Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
