EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants
Location
Any Indiana office - Hybrid 1 day a week
What You’ll Do
Processes applications, policies, endorsements, binders, certificates, audit requests, agency billing, and other items related to the servicing of clients from all regions including Midwest, Northeast, and West
Assists clients with policy coverages and related questions; reviews the policy coverages for potential gaps and other needs of the policyholder
Works with Producers to assist clients with the service needs mentioned above
Renews and retains assigned accounts; conducts renewal process working with Producers, if applicable, to provide the best possible options for our client and provide client with additional coverage options
Maintains client files in appropriate systems and provides standard office/administrative support
Maintains carrier relationships and follows any changes with our contracted carriers, keeping up with industry trends
Other duties as assigned
Service
Consistently establishes and maintains high levels of trust and confidence with clients by initiating introductions, through periodic contacts, and by promptly responding and resolving client questions and issues
Processes all applications, policies, endorsements, incoming mail, binders, schedules, certificates, audits, and other items related to the servicing of clients’ policies in a timely and accurate manner
Informs and educates clients about policy coverage, changes, exclusions, and insurance coverage needs; assists clients in making coverage changes
Meets all quality and timeliness standards in the Agency Management System while properly documenting all activity
Other duties as assigned
Marketing
Works with Placement Department and Producers to properly transition new business written
For renewal marketing: Submits applications with proper supporting documentation and follows up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and policies
Enters policy information into carrier websites for quote options, if needed
Aggressively and professionally negotiates premiums and commissions with underwriters and wholesalers
Present quote options to the client and/or Producer, if applicable
Binds and issues policies in carrier websites or orders policies from underwriters
Other duties may be assigned
Personal and Organizational Development
Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of all responsibilities
Maintains cordial and effective relations with clients, co‑workers, carriers, wholesalers, vendors, and other business contacts
Maintains up-to-date client records, workflow tasks/activities, manuals or other required documentation
Interacts with others effectively utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance as needed to achieve the business goals of the Company
Stays informed regarding industry trends, new product/program developments, coverages, legislation, technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance
Works effectively to resolve problems or enhance service in a timely manner
Has ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
Ensures expert knowledge is maintained

What You’ll Bring
Full knowledge of Property/Casualty lines of coverage and services
Recognizes problems and responds appropriately
Is able to analyze situations logically in order to draw solid conclusions
Demonstrates experience with Agency Management Systems, rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned clients and prospects
Has advanced knowledge of navigating the Internet as well as various Microsoft Office programs to include Windows, Outlook, Word & Excel
Has strong attention to detail and time management abilities
Has strong ability to multi‑task and assign priority
Can work effectively and efficiently both with and without direct supervision
Can work effectively and efficiently in a team environment as well as independently
Has strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent required; college degree preferred
Two or more years experience in a mid‑size brokerage or carrier
Has working knowledge of a variety of Microsoft Office computer software applications to include word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software
Can work in a fast‑paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
Has high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations; position requires teamwork, demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy
Possesses an Indiana Property & Casualty License
Has a Valid Driver License
Can travel independently to clients; some air travel may be required
Compensation The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications, and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
